Having worked as a graphic designer and an independent professional artist for the past twenty years with several exhibitions in the United States and abroad, has led me to discover my inner self. This inner passion for art and design has been shared with hundreds of students of all ages the past ten years.

Having received an MFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University-Fullerton and a BFA in graphic design with honors and distinction from Iowa State University, I discovered my passion for both creating art, teaching children and adults based on my life experience. Due to this intense desire to share my knowledge and technique in the visual arts Art & Collage - expressive workshops is a way for me to focus on “empowering lives through creativity and expression”

Currently I teach at Santiago Canyon College and Irvine Valley College. Over the last ten years I have taught at Orange Coast College, Irvine Valley College, Santiago Canyon College, Saddleback College, California State University, Fullerton, UCI-Extension, Irvine Fine Arts Center and private schools in Orange County. I have been on the roster for Orange County Performing Arts Center and Arts Orange County and as a master teaching artist I taught K-12 students. In response to the cutbacks in the visual arts in public, private and higher education, I have dedicated myself as Professional Artist and Founder of “Art & Collage” – expressive workshops. I had the honor of being nominated for  Individual Artist Award through Arts in Orange County.

Currently an established Orange County artist, received several awards and publications and am currently exhibiting my work in the United States and abroad.

About Natasha Shoro

Professional Artist and Founder of Art & Collage

A journey of self-discovery involves an investigation of our inner self, which represents feelings and symbols that are almost within our sub-conscious state. Visual Arts and creativity are explored through emotion which comes from a freedom of thought and expression that leads to self discovery.

As a child I dreamed to be an artist, I remember the days of finger painting, the passion of drawing, painting, sculpting, working with clay, creating designs and always experimenting. The continuous support of my husband, an architectural designer, a dear aunt who was also an art educator, and my parents, has allowed me to follow my dreams as a professional artist and designer today.
